Where We Work

The benefits of our approach apply to new asset developments and brownfield optimization projects across several industrial markets. This includes biofuels and produced water treatment to natural gas and petrochemical processing. While we are headquartered in Calgary and maintain a satellite office in Houston.

Main Duties & Competencies

Vista is seeking a Pipeline Engineer to expand its project experience into buried and above ground pipelines.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Familiarity with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.3 pipeline standards
• Familiarity with pipeline regulatory requirements for AB, BC and SK
• Ten (10) plus years project experience in buried and above-ground oil, gas, steam and water pipeline design
• Experience in high-temperature pipeline design
• Experience in pipeline material selection
• Knowledge of pipeline route selection and constructability requirements

Requirements:

• At least seven (7) years of progressive experience in facilities engineering and design in the oil and gas industry
• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in engineering or applied science
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation and piping engineers and designers
• Strong working knowledge and understanding of applicable codes and industry standards
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Self-motivated and efficient in time management and organizational skills
• Registration as P.Eng. with APEGA
