Brian Hausermann has 22 years of experience in the energy industry on projects ranging from heavy oil upgrading, refining, and SAGD facility development and operations. Brian has a strong operations background and has been involved in numerous projects, from development and detailed engineering services to commissioning and operations. Brian has also led multidisciplinary teams that were responsible for developing practical engineering solutions to complex challenges.
Brian has a keen interest in participating in projects that will raise the bar in the oil sands. Recently at Vista, he was involved with solvent injection and heavy oil upgrading projects. He also served as the Acting Lead of Vista’s Quality Assurance Program.
Brian graduated from McGill University with a bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. He is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) and the Canadian Heavy Oil Association (CHOA).
