Main Duties and Competencies 

Reporting to the discipline lead, the engineer-in-training supports the design of different aspects of oil and gas projects from inception to completion.  

• Assisting in the preparation of the equipment data sheets, design specifications and material requisitions
• Reviewing vendor quotations, drawings and specifications for technical adequacy and conformance with project requirements 
• Being able to meet safety requirements to attend site visits  
• Maintaining equipment list 
• Assisting in preparing equipment and specialty item datasheets 
• Assisting in preparing material requisitions for quotation/purchase, and technical bid evaluations 
• Assisting compiling engineering work packages 
• Performing other duties as requested 

Requirements  

• Two (2) to three (3) years of progressive experience in EPC or  facilities engineering in the oil and gas industry
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical engineering
• Basic concept of applicable Industry Codes for Oil & Gas Industries Mechanical Equipment
• Advanced knowledge in MS Office skills (Word and Excel), 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team including process, mechanical, civil-structural, electrical, instrumentation and piping 
• Registered as an EIT with APEGA
