With twenty-five well pairs currently producing, and 43 of the 55 well pairs with steaming underway, the facility is producing 5,000 to 5,500 bbls/day, ahead of the production schedule. Once production at the facility grows to full capacity in 2016, a total of around 60,000 bbls/day will be produced.

Husky Energy attributes the increased production volumes to both strong reservoir and facility performance. CEO Asim Ghosh said: “we continue to follow a steady, deliberate timetable as we increase production at Sunrise, and this approach is delivering better than expected results.”
