Blazenka Karamehmedovic has led Vista’s Piping Engineering Team since joining the company in 2013. In her current role, she supports and coordinates the Piping and Stress and Metallurgical Engineering groups as part of Vista’s integrated engineering services, for various projects and programs across several engineering markets.
She also oversees recruitment and project staffing and manages the development and quality of piping engineering deliverables from specification development, material selection, and piping stress calculations (with associated drawings, diagrams, and isometrics), to the purchase of piping components, valves, and specialty items, and the creation and issuance of construction/engineering work packages.
Blazenka graduated from the University of Sarajevo with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. She also has a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Calgary Haskayne School of Business, Executive Program. She is an active member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA).
